Biography of Dave Winget
Dave Winget was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Visitation School for K-8th grade and was seen by his teachers as a quiet student who excelled in math and science.
Dave finished grade school with flying colors and was accepted into Rockhurst High School, one of Kansas City's best. Throughout his time at Rockhurst Dave made many friends and participated in many extra curricular activities including baseball, football, chess club, ecology club and was a founding member of the MEET group - all this while earning his Eagle Scout and being the "Senior Patrol Leader" of boy scout Troop 84.
It was not until his junior year when he found his true calling as Photography editor of the "Prep News" Rockhurst's award winning, student-run, newspaper. As a photographer Dave was awarded 13 all-state recognitions for his work in layout, design, and black-and-white photography. During his Senior year Dave was also asked to be a leader, without even signing up to be one, at one of the "Kairos" retreats (a student led 4 day religious retreat.)
After four hard years at Rockhurst Dave was rewarded by being accepted to Creighton University, a small Jesuit school in Omaha, Nebraska. Here Dave studied many things before finishing with a double major in Advertising and Psychology. (He is also 21 hours shy of degrees in Political Science and Journalism.)
After college Dave spent a year and a half "living" as he called it moving around and taking it easy making his living as a Professional Poker player and by selling happiness with a website he created. He also moved around frequently, during this time and lived in Washington D.C., Tampa, Boston, Seattle and Kansas City before finally settling down in Denver, Colorado.
While it was a full time job offer that made him originally go to Denver it was his love of the mountains and the outdoors that made him want to stay.
Dave is an avid rock climber and all around outdoorsman - escaping to the Mountains whenever he can to go hiking, fishing or camping.
Currently Dave is working as a Senior SEO Manager at a mid-sized full service interactive agency. He also runs several websites on the side and is available as a free-lance small project SEO consultant. If you are interested in reaching Dave click here or the contact button above.
